Start your kitchen estimate
Three fields. We call you back to set up a walkthrough.
Most kitchens around here are the original ones
The suburban tracts through Rodeo, Hercules and Pinole went up in the 1970s, and a surprising number of those kitchens are untouched — woodgrain laminate cabinets, tile counters with grout lines that will not come clean, a single overhead light, and one 20-amp circuit doing the work of four.
They are not broken, exactly. They are just forty years past the way people actually cook and live now. That is most of what we do.

An original kitchen in Rodeo, before work begins.
What a full kitchen remodel covers
Every job is scoped at the walkthrough, but this is the shape of a typical full remodel.
- Demolition and haul-away
- Cabinets — stock, semi-custom or custom
- Countertops, backsplash and sink
- Flooring and subfloor repair
- Electrical: circuits, outlets, under-cabinet and recessed lighting
- Plumbing relocation for sinks, dishwashers and gas ranges
- Drywall, paint and trim
- Permits and building-department sign-offs
Because we hold a Class B general contractor licence, we can run a job involving three or more trades ourselves rather than handing you off between separate contractors. Smaller single-trade work we sublet to specialists we already work with.
Kitchen remodel questions
Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?
If the work moves plumbing, adds or moves electrical circuits, or changes structure, yes. Straight cosmetic swaps often do not. We tell you which category your job falls into at the walkthrough and handle the permit application and inspections if one is required.
Can I keep my existing layout to save money?
Usually, and it is often the single biggest saving available. Leaving the sink, range and refrigerator where they are avoids moving plumbing and gas, which is where a lot of the cost hides. We will show you the difference between both options in the estimate.
How long will my kitchen be out of use?
Kitchens are the longest-running room in most remodels because of the number of trades involved and the lead time on cabinets and stone. We give you a written schedule with the estimate, and we order long-lead materials before demolition starts so the room is not sitting open waiting on a delivery.
Do you work with my own cabinets or countertops?
Yes. If you have already picked a supplier we will install what you buy. We will tell you honestly if we think something is going to cause a problem before it is ordered.
