Cookies
This website uses one analytics tool, and only if you agree to it. There is no advertising network on it, no social media pixel, and no tracker that follows you to other sites.

What a cookie is, briefly
A small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise the same browser later. Some are necessary — remembering that you are logged in. Some are used to count visitors. Some are used to follow people between sites and sell advertising against what they do. They are not all the same thing, and lumping them together is how consent banners became meaningless.
What we set
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells returning browsers apart so visits are not double-counted | ~2 years |
_ga_<id> | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of the current visit | ~2 years |
Both are set only after you accept. We do not run advertising or remarketing signals.
The one thing we do store
If you answer the cookie banner, we keep your answer in your browser's local storage under excove_consent. That is not a cookie and it is not sent to us — it exists so that a refusal is remembered and you are not asked again on every page. Storing a record of your "no" is the only way to honour it.
Turning it off
Clear this site's data in your browser and any stored choice goes with it, and the banner will ask again next time. Every major browser also lets you block cookies outright, and nothing on this site breaks if you do — there is no login, no basket, and no saved form.
